Jan and Dick: Oyster Page
This is an unusual page created by Jan and Dick Wilson of Bay Center. The Wilsons own Bay Center Mariculture, a Bay Center oyster-growing and processing operation. This web page concerns their collection of more than 200 oyster plates from around the world. It includes pictures of some of the more interesting ones.

Seasonal Seafoods
This is the web page for the seafood shop operated mostly by Jan Wilson. The shop, located on Bay Center Dike Road, sells all kinds of seafood, much of it local, and the quality is great.

CEI: Oysters and Willapa Bay
A discussion of oysters and the environment in Willapa Bay by the Competitive Enterprise Institute. The slant is that private interests, such as oystermen, are more effective at preserving the environment than government. Whether you buy this slant or not, the report does present a nice overview of Willapa Bay's oyster industry and the environmental challenges it faces.

Washington Water Trails
Larry Warnberg, a Pacific County kayaker, successfully spearheaded a drive to have a water trail designated for Willapa Bay. The water trail is essentially 13 put-in and take-out spots and campsites around Willapa Bay that can be used by kayakers and canoeists. Among other thing, this page discusses the special features of kayaking in this shallow bay with its large tidal range and sometimes dangerous currents and stormy weather.

Web site for Willapa Bay KOA
This KOA campground is located in Bay Center. The Bush Pioneer Park also has camping spots. The town of Bay Center currently has a store in town as well, so the camping is picturesque and convenient.
